Army of One - Give Peace a Chance

Came up on a 3D grenade boy screwed into a pole on Sunset.

The craftmanship for this piece is impressive. A hand cut wood backing is used. Then a sealed and coated Grenade Boy paste is placed on top. And then the piece is tagged with a red Krink marker to give it the bloody, drip effect.

The dude pictured in the last two shots was in love with this piece. He walked by then came back to ask about the piece. We asked if he wanted to pose with Grenade Boy, and he was more than down. Yet another soldier in the Army of One~

Army of One

Army of One is one of the biggest names in the street art world.

Their art can be found on streets from New York to Los Angeles and the world in between (seriously--up in Cuba!!).

Army of One uses the Grenade Boy image from Diane Arbus as a catalyst to bring attention to the fight to end all wars. Powerfully invoked on the streets and usually tagged with dripping red ink, Grenade Boy engages the viewer and demands attention, resulting in a very successful public campaign.

Army of One just rolled through Melrose and Fairfax. This Grenade Boy is pictured on a beautifully decaying piece from Abscnt and Cryptik. We are thrilled to have the beautiful and powerful art back on the streets of Los Angeles~

(more to come~)
